Providers shall try to deliver the requested service within the time frame, but preferably on the first visit, if that is appropriate or a minimum number of visits as necessitated by the service / project . They should plan well and keep appropriate and necessary spare parts and tools and replacement items in stock. They will act professionally and abide by all necessary safety rules required by the service.
Requestors shall give as accurate a job description as possible and shall accept extra charges - if convinced by the provider to the contrary provided done so before commencing the service.
While requesting Obligatory Quote (ObQ) means all parties are committed to follow through with their initial contacts i.e., RFQ from the requestor and Quotes and responses from providers. It binds the two parties to complete the transaction as per the terms agreed. Exceptions may arise, but should be sorted out with mutually agreeable outcomes. Requestors get the bid evaluation assistance for decision making from the application, which will also benefit providers. Providers who are in demand will be more likely and willing to compete when Requestors submit ObQ rather than NOBQ. Requestors thereby get a better mix of providers bidding for their jobs. With NOQ, where Requestors which are generally enquiries, Service Providers who are busy may not be interested in participating and this will reduce the competition for the job and may therefore not provide the best outcomes.
Advantages: There is obviously Privacy concerns, but the following are also considered as important .
Anonymity bring about a degree of leveling of the playing field by lessening discrimination and increasing opportunities for the underdogs to compete with the more well known and bigger players. This in turn will help to eliminate big marketing and advertising budgets as a key determinant of winning business and this is substituted by community feedback.
For the medical and legal services, the platform makes it possible to make discreet enquiries from multiple service providers and select the provider who best meets their requirement. Similarly, providers can compete for jobs being fully aware that their bids will not be linked to their business and they can maintain confidentiality of their business deals. Even though all quote / bid amounts are made available to all other competitors, their identity is not. No party is aware of the other parties or their bids and will be likely to provide their best bid to be in the game. However, providers who have built a high quality rating through providing good services, will still be able to win jobs with higher quotes, where the requestor is interested in engaging and recruiting only the best quality services to meet their requirements. Even after the Quote selection is made, and the job has been awarded, only the Requestor and Winning provider will be introduced to each other through the exchange of contact details via the GalaxC system, but the contact details of the other bidders will not be known, for all standard jobs.
Only GalaxC members who actually enter into a service contract on the GalaxC platform (whether online or through the Contact centre), are allowed to provide reviews, feedback ratings via their personal Dashboards provided by GalaxC. Feedback can be given only for the specific contract (each contract has a unique job id). All RFQ seekers (of ObQ or NOQ) can also provide comments in text about a provider and vice versa. However Quality Ratings can be completed only by OBQ seekers (binding contract) after the completion of the job.
Evaluation and Ranking of bids is available only for RFQs that are obligatory (ObQs). The proprietary GalaxC engine processes all the bids at the indicated deadline and displays them in a ranked order based on a score called EDV. EDV is a score obtained by striking a balance of different parameters and requestor's priorities and preferences: prices quoted by the provider, their Q-rating and other preferences and priorities of the Requestor such as how urgently the service is required, The exception is for long term, non standard jobs which does not rank on the basis of price because a fixed quote cannot be given without further enquiries which may require the service provide to contact the requestor or do a site visit.
Rating the opposite party is optional even though it is a critical part of the system. By design It is objective, user-friendly and a quick action tool (ticking boxes that reflect the member's opinions and facts). Provider rating (Q-Rating is given by Customer/requestor. Only the actual customer participating in the GalaxC-originated transaction can take part. Ratings apply to OBQs only and involve simple ticks for fast rating (For NOQs feedback / reviews are allowed). In the spirit of fair play, members are requested to be honest and considerate, not be biased and adopt arms length approach while giving feedback and rating the opposite party. Quality rating should be done by both parties within 7 days of job completion, after which the opportunity ceases. After job completion, the parties can see each other’s feedback rating or if not available, they can view it as soon as both parties have given their feedback.
The final transacted amount will need to be entered by both parties on the feedback form. If not the initial quote amount of the winning bidder will be recorded on the system and used for statistical reporting purposes. These reports will be available to requestors for finding the cost on services they are seeking and provide a guide to setting the budget. If both parties do enter the amount, the amounts are expected to tally and will be used to work out the success fee.
